Blame it on the pre-coffee state of mind. Or maybe its simply a case of “the Mondays.” Either way what you will find below is a list (yes, bulleted even) of random thoughts and links.
- Whether or not you’re into the many derivatives of the Folk genre, you have to admit that NPR puts together a pretty impressive list for their The Top 10 Folk Songs Of 2009.
- On that same Folk vein; here’s a great up and coming Kansas City band Oriole Post.
- A bat landed on the screen just outside my window at work. I tweeted it.
- My December book of the month: My Name is Asher Lev. I hear amazing things about the book. I’m 40 pages in, we’ll see.
- The House Studio hired another amazing talent. Kristen Allen.
- While full of all kinds of speed, especially the startup, I will not make Google Chrome (recently released in beta form for Mac) my default browser. There is one main reason. I really wish Google would keeps its nose out of the browser war. Don’t even get me started on Chrome OS.
- I’m loving Christmas this year since I got all the commercial stuff out of the way early. But I’m getting tired of seeing Elf Yourself.
- As far as eBook readers go, I think Time Warner’s SI Book is just awesome. 2010 is going to be a pivotal year in ebook reader technology.
- I am still excited thinking that Esquire Magazine gave Shane Claiborne an article in their recent issue–a guy like him in a mag like theirs? You can read it here.
- Sometimes I listen to radio from “across the pond” just to hear the accents.
- I don’t like milk outside of cereal. I would probably use water in my cereal if it wasn’t frowned upon. But what I love are local businesses making waves. Example: Shatto Milk Company.
- Buy me this mug.

Thanks for the kind words about our local family farm. My family owns Shatto Milk Company, even though you don't care that much for milk, I am thankful you like what we are doing. Please come visit us on the farm for a tour sometime.
Cheers,
Matt Shatto
Bullet points are scary but I believe this list thing should be a weekly occurrence!
I like random bullet point lists on a blog, and I agree you should repeat routinely.
I agree with you Scott, Google should stay out of the OS & Browser markets. If they corner the OS or browser market, and continue to own the Internet search market, I think that could be bad for the internet ecosystem. Droid is very cool, but it causes that same concern in me. That said I think there is potential value in the advances they push in those technologies.
The SI book does indeed look sweet! I look forward to seeing the evolutions that will certainly follow.
