Warehouse S

Perhaps this is not worthy of a blog post.
But it could be…with your help.

You see, we have an empty warehouse that in a few days will be demolished.
The question is simple; What should we do?

We’ve already had some great ideas come up on Twitter. But now its your turn.

The catch: We have no budget and only a handful of days left to plan this thing.

Watch the video below:

Let the ideas begin!

Update:Here you go, the results

Make it multi-purpose. WIth a space so large, you could have one section for aspiring artists to come in and paint whatever they want.

You could hold a skateboard competition in one section.

And you could have another section for FOOD – BBQ!

      Mmmm…delicious bbq.

I like the idea of splitting the venue up. Why have just one awesome event? Have 3 really cool ones instead. Great idea Aaron thanks!

    1) host a battle of the bands
    2) organize a pre-Thanksgiving potluck for the entire city
    3) blindfold Bruce and release him in the middle of the warehouse. he has to escape. the rest of you have paintball guns
    4) car bowling with huge padded pins inside each of which is a person
    5) film a short movie based on one of your books

    that's it. that's all i've got. i'm partial to #3.

This just in….we might not have power to the building come Thursday. This event just took a turn for the worse.

It would be that much cooler if there were only a few "work lights" run by generators.

Have local artists paint the exterior to look like a mobile home, wait for spring, and one of those famous Midwest tornadoes can tear it down for you– free of charge.

Setup a crazy number (current world record is a little over 4.3 million) of dominoes at the end of which the button to blow up the building is pushed.

Thank you all for your ideas! In the end we just didn't have enough time to plan all the awesome things we/you suggested. Here's the video: http://bit.ly/d3BtZe

Good eye J.R. Let's just say he did wash them, but we cut that part out of the video. Yes…yes, that's it.
